Presidents Message

Hello to all and thank you for taking the time to view our clubs website.  My name is Mark Slater "amateur call sign" WI6J.  I am the club's President again this year after my first year in 2009.  With the help of a relatively new board of directors, we have moved amateur radio forward in our community.  We have made diligent efforts to make our club more conducive to today's radio amateur.

I have been a member of the KCCV-ARC for five years.  This year; 2010, will be my third year on the board of directors.  I/we have implemented much needed improvements to better reflect the needs of our members, and hobby; not just select individuals.  In 2009 we saw a record increase in membership and member participation; which keeps this club growing and full of new ideas.  I believe this coming year we will continue to grow and set the bar for a member supported amateur radio club.

We at the KCCV-ARC would gladly welcome you to attend our club meetings, participate in club nets, and participate in club activities.  We have many amateur radio related programs and presentations scheduled this year and would like to meet you.  I believe after you meet our membership and see what our club has to offer you in our hobby, you will quickly see why we've been in our community since 1946.

Our vision is to create a club of educational benefit for all, and help others learn from each others experiences.  Our goal is to grow our hobby, our organization, and reflect on who we are and what we can do in our community.

I/we will look forward to meeting you soon.  Thank you for stopping by.
